          SERIES OVERVIEW
In the fourth SEA book, Kantra shifts from selkies to finfolk, specifically Morgan, second in command to Conn, lord of the selkies. Finfolk can shape shift into the form of any sea creature, unlike selkies, who shape shift only into seals.

Here's the history of the series: Years ago, a human male (Bart Hunter) married a selkie female (Alice) and had three children—two boys and one girl. When the eldest boy (Dylan) reached puberty and "changed" into his selkie state, Alice left her Maine home and took him to the selkie sanctuary, where she died in an accident. The remaining boy (Caleb) and girl (Lucy) were raised by their father as humans, whereas Dylan was raised by the selkies.

A selkie prophecy says that a female selkie directly related to Alice (who was really Atargatis, one of the selkies' ancient ones) will bring good fortune to the selkies and help them defeat the demons—villains of the series. The first three books tell the stories of the Hunter siblings as they meet their soul mates and battle the evil demons who want to kill any female of Atargatis's line.
