     The new TRUE BLOOD graphic novel is out, and Volume 1 is titled "All Together Now." The book tells the story of a stormy, spooky night at Merlotte's when a Native American trickster monster—an imp shaloop named Ted—forces the locals to tell him their deepest, darkest secrets. 

     Some of the local rednecks try to resist, but the results for them are predictably deadly, so the rest decide to bare their souls. Each of the main characters tells a story from his or her past: Sookie, Eric, Tara, Sam, Jason, Lafayette, and, finally, Bill. 

     The story line is a bit weak—at least when compared with Charlaine Harris's books—but the drawing is great. And the story-telling exercise adds a bit more backstory for each of the characters—always helpful and enjoyable. The physical appearance of the characters is based on the actors who play their roles on HBO, and the story pages are interspersed with portrait pages of the entire cast. This is worth taking a look at if you are a TRUE BLOOD fan.
